On this day in history, May 31, 1995, the foundation stone was laid for the headquarters of the Joint Program Production Institution of the Gulf Cooperation Council, with the late Kuwaiti Minister of Information, Sheikh Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, announcing the construction of the official headquarters to be a media edifice for the Gulf Arab states.
