The Intellectual Property Training Center of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) organized a seminar titled "Copyright in the GCC Countries in the Era of Generative Artificial Intelligence" on September 23 last year at the Kuwait National Library. Attending the seminar from the GCC Joint Program Production Institution were Ms. Fatima Al-Shammari, Director of the Relations and Partnerships Department, and her accompanying delegation, Mr. Abdullah Hassan and Mr. Shabib Al-Khalidi. The seminar addressed the legal framework of copyright in light of modern technological developments, reviewed new challenges associated with the use of generative AI technologies, and discussed the role of Gulf media institutions in promoting societal and legal awareness of these important issues.
